There are so many things to do before we leave and so many of them are the types of things that can so easily be forgotten.
1. sharpen crampons
2. dig out all winter gear (find layering clothing)
3. get a solar battery charger
4. snow baskets for ski poles
5. track down duffel bag
6. finish food menu (we are all doing three group meals each for dinner)
7. more stuff sacks
8. get 2nd pair of goggles
9.2nd pair of gloves
10. find knee brace (jayk)
11. sharpen ice axe
12. headwear
13. rope
14. buy Playboys to trade for Russian Vodka (must be unopened)
15. make more money
16. oh and write a Will
So these are just a few things that need to be done before we leave and the last of them is really no joke. If one of the many things regarding climbing Denali is overlooked ones life can be taken in a matter of moments.
Oh and one more thing I definitely overlooked- my fishing pole, I was told "You cant come to Alaska and not bring a fishing pole" so that is will be packed.
