30 days till we head off to AK. It is all getting really exiting and a bit nerve racking, I know for me my time has been spent searching the interweb for deals on any last minute gear I need and frantically trying to lock down a meal plan for the 21 days we will spend on the mountain. I think this is the time that shuts down most people who plan a expedition like this, there is so much going on and things to deal with when you plan an unguided climb of this caliber but with all the knowledge our team has I am sure we will all make it to AK without too many second guesses.
Along with the major objective in front of us there are also some other great things that The Snowmelt has been a part of that are coming to light in the coming days.
The Mill Creek Clean Up on May 14th has been made possible with a lot of hard work and a ton of hours from so many amazing people. So if you live in the Southern California area be sure to come out for a day of giving back to our local wilderness and be sure to bring the kiddos cuz Smokey The Bear will be there to visit as well the many activities we will have and $100's of dollars in product to be raffled off for SGWA.
