Big News Today!

Well It looks as though we are one day and one step closer to Denali. Its true, through all the miles and endless games of email  tag between our expedition members we have all been able to book our flights from Talketna AK. to the Kahiltna Glacier, this is the flight we will be taking up to the starting point for the climb. I want to thank the folks at Sheldon Air Service for making everything so amazingly painless, with one phone call we now have two nights stay booked (the night before we fly out and the night we fly back in) our flight booked and or glacier essentials such as sled, Natl.Park fees, wands and stove gas set. We also locked up our permit for the climb which is a heavy load off our shoulders, so as you can see the past 24 hours has proven to be a huge turning point in this adventure and it is now beginning to feel so very real.
The past few months has been kind of surreal knowing that we would be climbing this mountain and up until now it has been more of a goal, a notion, something we strive for but not quite as real as we wanted it to be. But  that feeling is changing, I am beginning to realize that all this work and effort is slowly starting to evolve into something tangible. I remember coming to the conclusion that a dream is only a dream until you make it reality and the reality is we are really doing this.
I know I am not speaking for myself when I say that none of this would be possible if it were not for the amazing people around us and the support they have given us and for that I would like to thank you.
With that I just realized the time and its past midnight and I have a 5am wake up call to climb San G. I will be sure to fill you all in on tomorrows fun and until then you want to find me follow my footprints NORTH.
