5.10 like walking on air.

So knowing that this whole venture would be taking its toll on not only my body but also my gear I started looking for a pair of boots that would get me through my training and a portion of my Denali climb. Last Thursday I was able to get my hands on some amazing boots from 5.10.

Designed with advice from the mountain guide experts, the Exum Guide is a rugged mountaineering shoe designed for hikers, alpinists, peak baggers and Via Ferratas. Built for use with strap-on crampons, the mid-top Exum Guide has a durable non-sealed water resistant nubuck leather upper. Providing extra support is Five Ten®’s patented molded proprietary heel cage and extra-plush EVA cushioning.

These boots are hands down the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. Among the many things that stoked me out, I was really impressed by the fact that these puppies boast a combination of 5.10's amazing C4 and S1 rubbers. Whether its rock, mud, dirt,  scree, or ice these guys grip just about anything and after a good lather with my trusty boot wax these things are water tight too! My hats off to 5.10 for making such a rad boot and something I can trust to take me into an environment that can never be trusted.
